Apart from price is in that any difference between PCs beside AMD or Intel processors. Which is better?

i am looking to buy another PC for home use. I already hold one that has Intel duo processor but obligation another PC for the family.

Apart from price is in that any difference between PCs beside AMD or Intel processors. Which is better?

Intel or AMD the age prehistoric question... I myself am into assembling computers, and can communicate you by experience that for lighter operations similar to emails or documents etc. AMD or a CELERON is a good risk because it is cheap, but HEADS UP : AMD's tend to overheat and over a period of time their rite slows down. As opposed to this an INTEL can thieve heavy processing loads well - though a little expensive - they are worth every penny spent. The Choice is yours...
The re-sale advantage of an Intel based PC will be high. Performancewise there's not a lot contained by it.
It really depends what your family will be using it for - if it's purely for occasional document and picture editing, I would say move about for the AMD (or a cheap Intel Celeron) - you just won't requirement the rest of the processing power. On the other hand..if they'll be using it for gaming and a average amount of video editing, I would definitely opt for an Intel chip - the dual core's can compress/convert so much faster than AMD counterparts!
There like but I prefer intel
To me, Intel is overrated. You can get more explosion for your buck with AMD.
