An automatic backup be active and it go to disk, no human intervention needed that way. Well in a minute drive D is filling up and I enjoy 2% free. Any advice out within in answerland?
Can U delete backup files on (drive D) on vista? If so, how?
YES. right click on drive d , click properties and click on disk verbs up. there you own choices to make for database backup deletion. or if you install vista on drive C, simply delete the backupfiles on drive D. I suggest you to remove unnessary files to free more space.

Open Disk Clean-up and go to More Options tab. Click Clean up at System Restore and Shadow Copies.
