Cd rom out of order... (details inside)...?

Optical Drives usually don't have drivers. Also, not a soul come into your house and changed the jumpers on your drives so the Master Slave hypothesis is no good. It single applies if two drives are on a single IED cable. You might have to replace a drive. It shouldn't cost you more than $30 if you agree on to do it yourself. Just make mental minute of the connections and connect the new one like way. The individual things you have to verbs about are the pullover in the subsidise. Set it to the same as your prehistoric drive and just connect any power dongle to the power connector on the different one. Connect the same IDE ribbon cable that be connected to the old one. Don't verbs about any drivers most driver are plug and play. You can install any extra software that comes near the drive if you want. Its all thoroughly simple and you shouldn't run in to any problems. You may entail to take out knock against or take of your processor if your suitcase is cramped. Just connect everything back the process it was.
guess you will own to replace your cd-rom.
You can check how the Drives are Set Up...You have to stretch out your PC and look wich is the master drive...One of those should be Master and the other Slave...I suggest to get assistance if you are not sure almost it..
