However, most of the time; you can only just switch or buy a new stick of knock against and you should be set.
Define Bad. if the actual hardware is messed up, then perchance. if it's something else, then it's probably not so credible.
I'm not sure what you mean by break but it can result in it not to boot up. Usually there will be a series of beep though. That usually means the bump is the problem. If that is your problem try finding some 'known' upright RAM and trying it in your domestic device.
