Bad sturdy drive? Corrupt files & notes retrieval?

I only just my hard disk (a storage drive lacking windows on it) into an elder machine to use temporarily. Now my files are looking corrupt. for example, I'll uncap a video file and a variable .mp3 music file will play partially way through the song.

A LOT of my kinfolk photos have gone impossible, there's no thumbnail and no picture but the file is still showing as person there. I've lost a great deal of multimedia work and a project my wife has worked on for over a year are adjectives bad.

What can I do to recuperate the data?

Thanks!

If the notes is very exalted to you .don't mess with it ...most softwares are ridiculous at data salvage ...you need professional relief .people who hold the required hardware to do this kind of stuff.

Search contained by Google for data retrieval in your nouns.
try this...

As you have fitted your thorny drive to an older electrical device might I suggest that you check that the file systems are alike. If they are not there may not be a problem next to your hard drive it may merely be a compatability problem.
