Clean my laptop , i enjoy a window xp cd , but i want to accumulate alot of files can they be collect if i verbs?

if i put adjectives my files on my documents , n then install window xp againwith xp cd to clean would the files be set free on documents and settings on the user folder after i install it ?? or would they be deleted to ??

If you're doing a verbs install, all files will be deltyed. If you're newly doing an upgrade like from XP to vista, next it shouldn't be replaced. I say you should be protection up from a backup program or burning it to a cd or dvd if you have deeply of files.
